Top Republicans like House Speaker Mike Johnson have come out condemning Joe Biden's recognition of Transgender Day of Visibility and even gone as far as to say that Joe Biden and the White House have betrayed Easter. This condemnation is to be expected from a party that has become a hard right party and views the world from their own narrow perspectives.
It's not uncommon for Republicans to either lie about facts or be delirious about them.
The facts are that:
- Transgender Day of Visibility has been held on March 31st since 2009. The fact that Easter coincided with this day is purely coincidental. By condemning Joe Biden, Republicans are either unaware that Easter doesn't fall on the same date every year or they may just be hate mongers.
- Joe Biden is a devout Catholic and would not betray his religion or Easter for any reason, especially not to appease the hate filled Republican Party.
Shame on Republicans for using Easter for their hate filled propaganda. Like their beloved leader Donald Trump, they seem enamored by dictators and their hard lined approach and brutal leadership.
